Curtsies and Conspiracies OH MY!

SYNOPSIS:
Sophronias first year at Mademoiselle Geraldine's Finishing Academy for Young Ladies of Quality has certainly been rousing. For one thing, finishing school is training her to be a spy. Now, as she sneaks around the dirigible school, eavesdropping on the teachers quarters and making clandestine climbs to the ships boiler room, she learns that there may be more to a school trip to London than is at first apparent. A conspiracy is afootone with dire implications for both supernaturals and humans. Sophronia must rely on her training to discover who is behind the dangerous plot and survive the London Season with a full dance card.

REVIEW:
I am a huge fan of Gail Carriger and though I prefer the Parasol Protectorate I think the Finishing School series is a great introduction to the steampunk world for Middle Graders. It has great characters, a wonderful theme and intrigue, mystery and spies. And of course a strong female lead. And once again this series has GORGEOUS covers!

One of my favorite things about this series is the mechanimal. So adorable! And for fans of the Parasol Protectorate series you will be excited that in this installment a familiar character pops up. And you have to love that this entire school of nefarious purposes is all being conducted under the school marms nose.

I love the creativity Carriger has in naming things. The group called the Picklemen is wonderful. I really enjoyed the group of boys that are training to be evil geniuses in this book as well as the girl that will do anything to go to the boys school and become an evil genius herself!
RATING:

DON'T MISS THE OTHER NOVEL'S IN

THE FINISHING SCHOOL SERIES!
